How it works
Section 03How it works
How an engagement starts
A monthly engagement with a US company. No placement fee. You interview them and they start.
01
Pick a developer
Choose an anonymized profile. If you have not picked one, send the role instead. The practice covers web, software, and full-stack engineers, plus QA, DevOps, and IT support. There is no placement fee.
02
Meet them
You meet the developer on a 30-minute video intro. We aim to set it up within 2 business days. Rates and contracts are handled by AlbanianHire. Start in 10 business days, or your first week is free.
03
They start
They work your hours, in your tools, under your NDA. The default shift is 8:00 AM–4:00 PM ET (14:00–22:00 CET for the developer), and at least four hours of overlap is guaranteed.
04
The engagement
Month to month, on a monthly rate. No placement fee. An account manager remains with you. If it's not the right fit in the first 30 days, we replace the developer at no cost.
Section 01The offer
The 10-Day Senior Seat
The engineer, the intro, the contracts, and a way out if it is not a fit.
Each part is included. None of them has a made-up dollar value. The rate card is the price.
01
A hand-vetted engineer, with a scorecard
English, a coding test, a live interview, and a paid task are scored before anyone is introduced.
02
A 30-minute video intro
You interview and choose the developer before anything is signed.
03
Hours that overlap yours
At least 4 hours of overlap with US hours. The default shift is 8:00 AM–4:00 PM ET (14:00–22:00 CET for the developer).
04
US MSA, IP assignment, and NDA
The paperwork is a US agreement with AlbanianHire, including IP assignment and an NDA.
05
Security onboarding
Client-owned accounts and 2FA. They work in your tools, not from a shared login.
06
A monthly quality check-in
The account manager reviews the seat with you once a month.
07
Start in 10 business days, or your first week is free.
If your developer hasn't started within 10 business days of a signed order form, we waive the first week.
Applies to developers on our available bench at signing.
08
Free replacement for 30 days
If it's not the right fit in the first 30 days, we replace the developer at no cost.
09
Hire directly, free, after 12 months
After 12 months you can bring them onto your own team at no fee.
10
Founding Client Program: 3 seats.
The first 3 clients pay the same price. The rate is locked for 24 months. Direct hire is free after 6 months instead of 12.
In return they agree to a short case study and one reference call.
11
Overflow capacity under your brand.
The developer works under the agency’s name, email, and tools. The agency’s clients never see AlbanianHire. We sign a non-solicit covering the agency’s clients. The price is the same as a standard seat.
Land the big Shopify or Next.js project, add a senior for the build, and roll off when it ships.
Section 04Vetting
The standard
Six steps. The vetting is the product. A pass does not replace your interview.
- 1
Application
Kosovo or Albania, the stack they claim, and whether they can hold a shift that overlaps US Eastern Time.
- 2
Live conversation
Professional English and US-style communication: how they explain a tradeoff, out loud and in writing. A certificate is not a substitute.
- 3
Technical interview
Structured questions on the stack in the application. Claims that do not hold up end the process.
- 4
Practical exercise
A timed piece of work. We look at correctness, structure, and how they take feedback.
- 5
References
At least one prior manager or client, checked before anyone is introduced to you.
- 6
Your interview
A short packet: role, seniority band, and the scorecard. Passing our funnel is not a hire. You still interview and choose the developer before anything is signed.
A pass is not a hire.
You still interview anyone you might work with.
Section 05Lead magnet
How we score a developer
The rubric is on this page. Read it before you ask for an intro. There is no download, and we do not email it to you.
Sample scorecard
1–5 scale
English
Spoken and written, in a live conversation about a tradeoff.
Sample mark 4 of 5
Coding test
A timed exercise on the stack they claim.
Sample mark 4 of 5
Live interview
How they reason out loud, and what they do with a correction.
Sample mark 5 of 5
Paid task
A paid practical task, scored before anyone is introduced.
Sample mark 4 of 5
- 1
- Far below the bar
- 2
- Below the bar
- 3
- Partial
- 4
- Strong
- 5
- Exceptional
Illustrative marks on a 1–5 scale. Not a real developer, and not a measured result. A pass through the six-step standard is still required, and you still interview anyone you might work with.
Section 17Next
What happens after you click
You request. We review. We share matching anonymized profiles. You meet the developer. Then an order form, and they start.
01
You request
You send the role, or you ask for a profile like one on the bench.
02
We review your needs
We read the role, the stack, and what the seat has to do.
03
Matching anonymized profiles
We share profiles that match. Names and contact details stay off this site.
04
A 30-minute video intro
You meet the developer. Rates and contracts stay with AlbanianHire.
05
Order form and start
If you want to continue, an order form starts the engagement. You have already interviewed and chosen the developer.
Section 07Account management
A dedicated account manager.
Every engagement has one person at Stackstone who already knows the role and the terms.
- The introduction
- They coordinate the video intro you asked for. They do not cold-call. This site does not publish a calendar or a developer’s contact details.
- The start
- Hours, tools, and the NDA are arranged before they start, so the first days are not an improvisation.
- The first 30 days
- If it's not the right fit in the first 30 days, we replace the developer at no cost. The account manager runs that replacement.
- The life of the engagement
- One person stays for as long as the engagement does. You are not handed a shared inbox.
Developers
Apply as a developer
The review is a CV read, a 20-minute English call, a coding test, a live interview, and a paid task. Seats with a client need 3 or more years of commercial experience. Juniors may start in IT support. An application is not an offer of work or pay.
